Phew, it’s been a while but my pen has been scribbling in my absence still. I’ve spent the past couple of weeks getting to know and working with amazing individuals. One of these people is an author who’s work we will be publishing and launching in the coming weeks. So as we wait, let’s get to know her better together so we can have a better appreciation for her work when her book finally hits the shelves.

- Do you perform your pieces?
No, I only write them. I write both poetry and short stories. I also blog.

Whilst I don’t perform my pieces, I go by the name Winter Duckling.
- When did you start writing?
I fell in love with writing at a young age and penned my first work when I was in grade 7.

I started writing because I wanted to share my thoughts with my friends and family and I felt that I could express myself better through my writings.
6. What genre would you classify your writing under?
Romance
7. Why did you choose, “Hey Stranger”, as the title of your book?
I choose “Hey Stranger” as the title of my book because I felt that many a times as people we tend to look for the right partners amongst the people we already know and ignore the strangers that we meet on a daily basis. The title in itself for me, means that sometimes we should learn to give room to the people we meet, get acquainted, start from there and the greatest love story of our lives might surprisingly blossom from there.

8. Who is your target audience?
With this publication, my target audience is anyone who is young at heart and anyone who believes in true and real love, even those who are pessimistic about it due to past experiences.
9. What do you hope people can take away from your book.
I hope after reading my book people can learn that not all relationships can lead to marriage, and that we shouldn’t take the hurt and pain from our past broken relationships into the current one as it may destroy something beautiful that we may not even get the chance to see.
